Since the children have gone back to school, I have had some time to myself which I have been in desperate need of. I love spending time in the water recently. I have my favourite water hole but also the beach has been great for me.
I always had a fear of the water as I didn’t know what was in it. Being from the UK, I didn’t spend time in water unless it was a pool. Now that’s different.
My inspiration has been lacking lately with no time alone. A small amount of time at the swimming holes has changed that. Now I am keen to find new swimming holes and take the time to find other places off the beaten track. I want to go where there are no people that can disturb me and there are so many of those around where I live. I am so lucky to have that.
The scenery is amazing as I drive along and I have discovered places that hold so many feelings in them. I can literally feel my body reacting to them and I feel it in my heart as I drive along. The mountains and the forests take my breath away.
The areas are so unspoilt and untouched that it seems impossible that there is somewhere so magical left on this planet that seems to be like that.
You can feel the magic when you sit in the water. It is ice cold as it is mountain fed and your body goes numb but that makes it even more special. It is so clear that I can see the goosebumps on my legs through the water. I have found places where I can just sit in the water up to my chin and just listen to the sounds. So many sounds of nature. I feel at peace. My head clears and I feel connected to that space.
Go off the beaten track. Find your special place that will hold you when you are down. Where you can go on your own and clear your head. Where you are connected and feel that you can be what you need to be. Feel what you need to feel. If that doesn’t get you writing I’m not sure what will.
Find your peace, find your passion, find your creativity.
Find you.
